Question Is Anyone Else Old Enough to Remember?

Is Anyone Else Old Enough to Remember...

1) scratchy petticoats

2) sanitary napkin BELTS

Any other blasts from the past that you can remember?

Going shopping at Gold Circle and eating at Zantigo's. I also miss the 80's...wild hair, wild clothes, great music, lots of jewelry.

As for the 80's, my daughter is 13 and she is wearing alot of 80's stuff...especially the big jewelry!!

I still have some of my stuff from the 80's. My 17 year old daughter is begging me to give her all of my jelly and bangle bracelets. Speaking of belts, in the 80's when I was skinny I used to wear a double wrapped belt and also had a big belt that you wore on the last hole with the end of the belt hanging down instead of in the buckle. I just gave away my suade roll down boots. Still have my fedora hat.

Oh how I hated those 'belts'!! The scratchy can-cans to make your dress or skirt stick out a mile - we thought we were so cool Then the garter belts to hold up your nylon. How did we have enough time to get ready for school? Where have all those years gone to?!!

The 80's

Other 80's flashback items:
- jackets covered with pin buttons mainly of music groups and stupid sayings
- a "tail" in the back of our hair
- Safety pins
- Duran Duran!! Just last week they were on Regis and Kelly. They are all back together again and touring. I wanna go!!!

Going back a little more than the 80s, I remember my saddle shoes, charm bracelets, hula hoops, yo-yo contests, beauty shop perms with long hot wires and the hot dryers with your head buried inside, 'dime' stores, outdoor movies, 10-cent popcorn, milk bottles delivered with the cream on top, ice boxes with a drip pan for the melting ice, legs on our gas stove, bobby pins, and many more.

How times have changed!
