Funny names for normal things

Do you have funny names for normal things? Maybe an inside joke or funny story behind something...?

For instance, my grandfather-still going strong at 84- calls tapioca pudding "fish eyes". Ever since I was a little kid, I could no longer eat it without thinking that it looks like eyes.
He also calls the cereal crumbs at the bottom of the bag "sawdust".

According to my mil, a magnifying glass is "Fred's eye". She evidently had an uncle that couldn't see without using a mag. glass, therefore his eye.

My mum used to ask me to get the 'chopper' when she was preparing dinner. She was after the big chopping knife.

I love fish eyes, they are yummy!

I call schnitzels of any meat schnitzel grubins, don't know why but felt the need to tell the kids don't go to a restaurant and order grubins cause as far as I know they don't exist.

Boys fart, girls do puff puff (I said so) cause we are more dignified LOL

That's our house in jokes on names.

Here, we say "tooted".
We also say thingy, thing a ma jig, whatchamacallit and hickey.
I'll add more if I can think of any, as I'm sure now that I'm thinking about it, I'll come up with them.

My dad always called tapioca fish eyes.

We also use thing-a--ma-jig and whatcha-ma-call-it. Also doo-hickey.

A coward is a wuss.

A magnifying glass is a third eye.

We say tooted here too.

Greens are foods like collards, beet tops, etc or can mean salad greens like head lettuce, romaine, etc.

A cigerette is a cancer stick. People who smoke are putting nails in their coffin.

I may think of more.
