Pressure fryer

Has anyone ever pressure fried in their pressure cooker????
I remember my mother in law having a pressure fryer, that looked just like a typical pressure cooker.
I have two pressure cookers. A regular pressure cooker that I use for meals and a large pressure cooker that I use for canning.
Somewhere I read not to use your regular sized pressure cooker for deep frying, and yet I have read on a website that people use their pressure cookers to do pressure fried chicken and it is called "broasting".

There was instructions as well, it was on a page called "Gail's Recipe Swap" . I can look up the address if you guys want to see it. I just read somewhere that it was not safe to use your pressure cooker for it, and yet I really don't want to go out and buy another appliance for pressure fried chicken if I can in fact use my cooker.
I prefer pressure fried to deep fried, it is more juicy.

I used to own a pressure cooker made just for chicken..i do not have it any more but i remember stern warnings in its directions not to try this in a regluar cooker...i believe the coating and hottness of the oil is the only secret...for every cup of flour use one cup of pancake mix and lots of seasoning and mix well and dip in egg and mix and repeat this...then fry in hot hot oil then lower the temp about half way seals and is very juicy...remember no matter how much experience you have with pressure cookers do not take chances with them...especially with careful....and be sure......

I own a fast slow cooker by Breville, it can be set for crock cooking or pressure cooking.
It does not do oils but you can sear/pan fry on a setting before either set cook.
My mums had the old pressure cooker and I can say she never deep fried in it and I've never heard of deep frying in it....
Saying that I don't deep fry cook as there are to many calories in it I don't need LOL
