Toss a sheet over it so no one can see what is under there.

Pop a stocking on your broom, brush end, add a couple of drops of lemon oil and wipe around your windows and eaves on the outside of your house. Spiders hate the lemon oil so there fore no more cob webs in those areas.

For mini-blinds, I also use the tub \ shower. I lay a blind (slats open) in the tub and spray it down with Clorox CleanUp and let it sit for a few minutes. Then I rinse it with water (have a hand-help shower head) and put it on a bath towel to dry. This works with light colored blinds .... haven't tried it on the darker colored blinds .... Having good ventilation while doing this is a plus!

I use to keep specific cleaning supplies in each bathroom of the house. I also tried to use environmentally / pet /child safe products. In the kitchen, under the sink = Simple Green; DW Tabs (varied on amount/price/deal for brand we used); Neutralizing Spot remover for pets by Bissel; Clorox wipes; Scented Garbage disposal cleaning balls; Dawn dish soap (refill), and Hand soap (refill). In the bathroom(s) were Clorox wipes; Fabreeze / Lysol misters; Foaming Scrubbing bubbles, and old tooth brushes...the bathroom(s) with the cat box - shared the Clorox wipes, and had the inexpensive dollar store 50 + scented / colored plastic bags under the sinks w/cleaning supplies
Usually litter was kept next to the box OR under the counter w/cleaning supplies.
Laundry Detergent; Bleach; softener, stain remover were kept on the unit if a shelf /cupboard was not available.
Currently, because of our recurring hotel living status (which hopefully will change by January 2014), I keep the Bleach; Liq-Laundry Detergent; Softener; Clorox wipes, and pink-rose scented baggies in a plastic top closing bin under the sink. The cat-box is in the actual BATHroom area.
If you see someone in need of help and you can do something, then do something — that goes for people and animals. If you can help out, try. That’s what I hope people take away from this.” -Alex Scroggins

When your blinds are clean you can help keep them that way by using a paint brush to sweep the dust off.

Nothing to add in the way of "speed cleaning tips", however, one of the most important tidbits of advice I can give any homemaker... don't allow things to go. IMO, bathrooms and kitchens should be deemed high-priority, meaning cleaning, freshening, and tidying, needs to take place, once... twice... three or more times daily, in order to keep them clean and sanitary (tidy, too).

I know in speaking for myself, scrubbing a bathroom floor that accumulates hair, debris, and fine particulate, is far more easy to clean once a day, than leaving it for a straight week and then deciding it's time to mop things up and scrub everything down.

Cleaning, IMO, falls under the same guidelines as spending... buy something cheap, and you get exactly what you pay for, put in minimal effort when it comes to maintaining and cleaning the inside of your home, the end result will reflect.
