Oh my gosh. I am so glad I saw this site. I am seriously considering homeschooling by 3 1/2 year old as he is quite ACTIVE and doesn't do real well in large group settings. My 16 year old stepson and he are quite alike and if I had any say in how we would have handled him and schooling I would have homeschooled him. Unfortunately my husband was quite protective of him during the early years of our marriage (leftover stuff from his marriage to the mother) so any input I had just was not accepted. Things are much different now, however, and my husband recognizes that my interest in our/his son is because I care. Anyway.....my stepson (I do not like that word because he has always lived with us, I'm just using it so as not to confuse which son I'm speaking of) has attended public school all his life and while he is VERY bright, he has their # if you know what I mean. I think if we had homeschooled him, he would probably already have his high school diploma. As it is now, he may never get it. I don't want our 3 year to go through the bad experiences his brother has, so I need to investigate some of these tips you all have provided on this board. Thank you so much
