Hmmmm, our initials are R M G. Dd loves ducks. I think I'll look up some of the different types of ducks and use one as our name and the duck as the mascot.

Thanks for the suggestions! I haven't been online much due to food poisoning, plus we are moving to another town soon.
Hope all is well with you.

Marvel,

Food poisoning is no fun!!! I hope you are feeling better soon!! I have had a few bouts of it before and I know what you are going through!! Hope you are like yourself soon.

So where are you moving too??? Are you moving because you want to or is it job related? Hope the move goes smoothly.

Let us know what you decide to use as your name for your homeschool, A duck as a mascot sounds great!!!

Take care
Hugs
Debbie

Thank you guys for sending your good thoughts during my bout of food poisoning.

Sorry I left you hanging...here's an update.

In August the property that we are living on (owned by dd's paternal grandmother) started the process of being sold. This is about 3 acres with a commercial store up front. The newest renter's decided they want to buy the whole thing. Good news except that we don't have any idea where we want to live!

The other consideration is that grandma is requiring more supervision. So we need to be near decent medical care. Rural life is what we all prefer but it can't be too rural, YKWIM?

Plus, we have found that the Eugene, Oregon area which is our number one choice is VERY pricey. In our younger days we could have handled working on a fixer-upper. But that is not a good idea with trying to combine 2 households (dd and I live in separate quarters), a young child and fragile senior.

Now it seems the renters have backed off their offer, no money or contracts have been exchanged yet. They've agreed to give us 60 days from date of purchase to move, goodness knows when that will be.

Therefore, I am still acting as if we are moving, boxes everywhere, clearing out clutter and searching real estate online.

On the homeschool front I think I'll go with Eider Academy. Sounds scholarly and is still a duck!

Whew! This turned into a novel. Hope all is well with your family's.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Marvel

sounds like your plate is very full, I hope you get answers regarding the sale of the property and that you are able to find somewhere to live that you will be happy with!!!

Eider Academy sounds great!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to you!!
