China? are you in the city? Is that why it is hard to get freshened air? Same here, except I am in the country and the smells I try to cover are either from cooking cabbage and broccoli or from the hog farm down the road, the first spring day is always a challenge for smelling in the great outdoors!

I like using those coffee scented candles and lemon scented ones.

Welcome to FC Maureen!

Hi Maureen! So wonderful you live in China! It is my fave country!!!!
For scenting my flat, I use Vanilla Bourbon's Eau de Toilette, from Yves Rocher shops. Sometimes I use it on myself, and the scent lasts for hours and hours, so I decided to use it on my flat, but you have to spray it over some fabric, like the sofa, or the curtains, for it to last. At least, it doesn't leave any stain.... Plus, you can choose between many scents: Strawberry, Blackberry, Raspberry, Coconut, Peach, Pear, and so on... Vanilla is my fave, though... (and they are really cheap!!!)

Bumping up.

How do you keep your house smelling fresh and clean? Do you like to use a scent? If so, what do you use?

In the summer months I melt chunks of wax I save leftover from my candle making (you can buy them new in the stores, their called candle tarts). I've been scenting for about 3 weeks now Lilac, one of my all time favorites and it scents strong too. One of my dogs accidently tinkled into the air return vent, we didn't know till we turned the AC on, OMG!!!! I hurriedly put one of the lilac burner plates to going and the scent was gone in about 10 minutes. Because we have dogs, we keep cheap furnace filters over the hole going to the basement furnace, once I changed that no problems. My girls are all seniors now so can't get upset when they have a accident.
