Any Shabby Chic gals out there?

Hi Everyone,

Anyone else into the Shabby Chic decorating style?

I have just started to redecorate my home from a more Victorian-style to a more relaxed Cottage/Shabby Chic style. I don't really like it too shabby, more cottage-like. I'm not too into really chipped painted furniture. A little chipping is alright, but I don't want it to look like it was deliberate. Hope that makes sense!

My favorite color to work with is green! I love jadite, quilts, anything 1920's-30's, hooked rugs, etc.

Please tell me about your home! I would love to hear what everyone is doing!

Jenna

Jenna - I've done my bedroom in Shabby Chic! I'll take some pictures tomorrow after I get my bed made and post them. If you like shabby chic, go to this website -
www.twoshabbychics.com
It is my very favorite for decorating ideas! The have a project of the month, then they have the archives for the back projects.

Question Shabby Chic

Gee, no. I can't understand why I can not connect with 'twoshabbychics'. I would really love to see the site. I even looked in google with no luck. I'm going to play with a few different addresses and see if I can't come up with it. I'll get back to you!! Pattie

I love Shabby chic!

Hi. I love the shabby chic look. I have a hodge podge of a little bit of everything in my decor. I used to like country and then I got into antiques a little and now I like the cottage/shabby chic look. So I have a good mix. I love looking at magazines with that style in them though. And the website www.twoshabbychics.com is awesome for getting ideas and also buying things for your home.

A very neat site! I loved looking at everything.

Question: I have a lot (too many?) houseplants. Some pretty big. They summer outdoors, but will need to come in soon. How do I arrange them? I always end up with a jungle look!
