I love the orange and wish the rest of my house would go with it. The closest I got was in my kitchen, pale yellow walls and counters, red cabinets and accents of forest green and oranges in those fruity warm shades in the soffit papering.

If we had white woodwork I think I would use it but we have stained pine. When we moved in the bathroom counter was orange and it was way too sixties. The walls in the living areas were salmon but they used a matte paint and it was awful looking because it picked up dirt and could not be scrubbed well. I think the shade or tint of the orange must go with the natural lighting in the room to look right.

At first I thought "yuck" but then after thinking about it, I realized that it really isn't so bad. I have a red kitchen (with creme and black), a gold living room, a dark green dining room, and an eggplant foyer. When I told people we were painting the foyer purple, they thought I was crazy, but it is beautiful!. So orange?? It's pretty "cool"!

new color

I love that picture! The orange is energizing!! Just the other day I was watching Design remix on hgtv and they used orange -- they did orange stripes on the wall and even painted the piano. It sounds horrible but looked great!! (I am not even a fan of orange, or haven't been) I would love to know how to find a reputable interior decorator close by. So far, I have been consulting with a lady at Lowes. I just don't know what color to paint my gameroom, which is ready for paint, and cannot find any good pictures on the web.

My bedroom is all orange and red. At dawn it is the most relaxing place ever . The pic was taken a week after we moved here, so it shows the old furniture and so on, but the current pantone is identical
