How do you keep the can from tipping over?

Very cute, Luchik.

I like to fill various clear glass vases with glass Christmas balls.

I also have received some cute flower arrangements in vases frosted and with candles on the vases. If you just add another block of foam, anchored with the frog sticky stuff, you can put 3 red tapers (of different lengths) inside for an adorable centerpiece. Greenery or a fake greenery wreath laid down first, really highlights the vase. The vases I have received are round.

Collections of items, like little reindeer or snowmen, arranged on a bed of greenery (real or fake) also make a nice centerpiece, and can be spread out over the length of the table.

Take care all - Norma

One year I lined up down the table 9 votive cups with red candles and then interwove some red wooden cranberry strings on some greens and placed wooden ornaments among them.

We could eat and still see each other and the light was soft but almost everyone had a candle by their place...we put the food on the side server and passed to and from that

Ellen,

Sorry for not replying sooner, I just saw your comment. To prevent the can from tipping over, you need to put 'chocolate flowers' in the back of the arrangement as well. Or you can put a heavy metal frog at the bottom of the can and press foam onto it.
