Just saw this post. What a great idea. Seeing as I have Spring Fever, I will be planting trees in my yard for Earth Day.
I'll take baby trees from my son's yard, he has over 18 acres in the woods. It will thin his trees out, making the remaining ones healthier, and I'll have new growth for my unlandscaped yard.
Think I'll plant some perennials too. Also need to make a bird bath with an old satellite dish that my dd left here. Already have a feeder.
Any other ideas? I'm always looking for ways to give back to the earth.
