I voted yes. They had them in my children's high school and it never bothered me. I felt that they were getting older and more mature. They should be able to start making making their own decisions about purchases. Parents can also have some control over whether or not they have money. The only thing I disagree with are cigarette machines.
I said no because many of our high schools are 13 years and up and my 13 year olds would not use good judgement. Kids eat way too much sugar nowadays and too many parents are just not concerned . I don't think they need to have pop during the day...instead a juice or water or a nutritional snack as a pick me up.

I said no as although my kids aren't really into the whole soft drink thing I do know those who don't seem to have that control and I know teachers hate the 'sugar high' kids get at lunch with their own food and soft drink as well. Teaching is hardest after lunch break.
To me soft drinks like crisps are a treat not an every day thing.
No I don't think they should have them in the schools. Lots of kids blow their lunch money on the junk NOT a good idea. This is second try at posting hope this one goes thru'

No, I don't think they should at all. My kids were getting to where they wouldn't eat lunch but grab junk food out of the machines. They did take them out of the schools here and I was very happy with the decision.
No. I think that soda and junk food need to stay out of the school. Too many kids are eating the junk instead of meals. As for kids needing a drink, what is wrong with drinking water? That is what your body needs to stay hydrated.
