I start out watching TV while reading or doing a project of some kind. Something with plastic canvas or some kind of needlework. And yes I really do read while I'm watching TV. I probably listen more than I look, unless something is happening that I just have to see.
When dh goes to bed, I get on the computer. Mostly playing games, answering email or taking care of stuff I'm in charge of.

Pam, I have read that the light from the monitor tells your brain that it is not time to sleep. I too get very sleepy but am wide awake once I turn it off. The article said to get off the computer an hour before you want to go to bed. The same is true for TV according to the article.

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

I like to crochet to relax, in front of the TV.

If it doesn't nourish your soul,

I relax by going to the thrift shop, watching T.V., or surfing the net.

P.S. would love to relax by hoping in the leaves like the smiley guy, but the leaves are wet. I think wet leaves may not be as fun. LOL!

Whenever I feel stressed/anxious/OCD I find that listening to russian orthodox music helps me unwind. That and losing myself in bible study with the greek/hebrew online concordance, fascinating.
