Congrats Bluebird. I did exercise on Monday morning but not since. I got some things settled with my job and it is getting light earlier, so now I can get back on a regular schedule and can get back into an exercise routine.

I hope you settle into your new job, quickly and comfortbly.

I am finding I can not work my legs everyday. It hurts my knee. I can and will do the rest. My jeans are getting bigger on me.

It sounds like you'll need to get some new smaller clothes soon! I got a new DVD of Leslie Sansone that has a 5-day Walking plan and concentrates on different parts of the body for about 30 minutes each day. So far I have done 4 of the days and did a different type of pilates exercise with a 5-pound ball ealier in the week so it is a lot more than I have done in a week since before Christmas. I'm hungrier so am eating more though. My dh hates veggies, so it makes it hard to pepare healthy meals.

My jeans are loose enough I have to wear a belt. I will keep wearing them until my tummy starts shrinking.

My kids will eat some veggies, dh others. I have told them all to knock it off. Liking veggies is a learned thing. Don't think you are born with it.

I have wondered about a walking dvd. Does it make the time go faster?

Leslie Sansone has several different walking DVD's and the recent one that I have been using is called "Walk at Home, 5 Day Slim Down." On this one with the warmup, main walk and then cool down it takes about 30 minutes to do one mile each day. There is a classic walk, one for sculpting your arms, another for your legs, one for your tummy and a speed walk. On this one I have to stop and change the menu between the warmup, the main walk and the cool down but on the main walk I can let it continue and do more than one mile if I want to. Is that clear as mud? I have some of her other DVD's that go straight through and the longest is about 45 minutes. The movements are not difficult and I can pretty much keep up with the pace and all I need is a pair of tennis shoes and enough space to walk a couple of steps backwards and forwards and side to side.

Dh claims that his mother always fed him canned veggies and if he didn't eat them for dinner she would make him eat them cold for breakfast, so he doesn't like anything green except will tolerate a few peas or corn. He does like raw spinach, which I put in salads a lot in the summer but it is not good here this time of year.
