Visit a nutritionist. If they don't ask for the labs from your last blood work, find another one!

Nutrition is huge in this issue! Plant sterols lower cholesterol, fish oil lowers triglycerides. A good diet helps these supplements work more efficiently. The nutrionist can tell you what dosage works for your body mass.

Change all the white stuff to brown, whole grains, no fluffy processed white flour. Consume more sweet potatoes than you do white. Suprisingly it's the carbs that are a worse offender than the natural fats found in foods.

See a nutrionist! I can give you the dosage and products my DH takes from our nutrionist if you contact me via pm. I'm not sure what the rules are on providing brand names in the forum.

take care of you!!

Doctor never said if it was the statins or not. He is only taking the fish oil for his cholestrol meds. Dh until he got layed off worked at Merck. I large pharmisical company. He is very fun about the meds that any one takes in our house.
Have a wonderful day.

Charlotte, your dh would know a lot about meds.
I have not had any problems with the meds I now take. Diet alone does not help me. I still have to be on the diet and exercise also helps.
