Sore eyes

Oh my
my eyes are so sore. I have suffered this year quite bad with hay fever, but I went to the GP today an she looked at them as all I could see was shadows and she said on top of the hay fever I have conjunctivitis. she has given me drops for it but

does anyone know anything more in the alternative side of things to help soothe them please?
The are hot, sore and very itchy.

Thank you

I use collidal silver. My eyes were bothering me a few weeks ago. Within two days of using collidal silver they felt fine. I did keep my contact checkup. The doctor said it worked.

Thank you for that :)

I will take a look at it and I'm going to town today so I will pop into the hop for a closer look at it :)

Thank you

I can't remember but is that also considered to be pink eye? If it is the sun or bright light will hurt your eyes so stay in where you are out of sunlight or wear sunglasses. That and the drops are all I know of to help it.

hope your eyes will get better soon, make sure you don't scatch them, just barely move your finger in a circular motion. you do not want to irration them due to scatching them

Are you also very tired from lack of sleep. I lay down & put on a cold wet washcloth. Use hot wascloth over your sinuses. Vicks when I go to bed at the nostrils & on my chest. Hope the symptoms leave soon.

Thank you for all your tips
I have had to go back to GP's as they weren't clearing and she has given me another form of eye drop and some hay fever tablets.
I have light irritation so some sunglasses may help and sleep doesn't come easy, so I will give it a go what you suggest dallasalice

Thank you all xx

Had to go back to GP yet again today as lumps were forming in the eye and she said that I have a couple of cysts in them, so yet again a different lot of drops

checking in, and hope the drops will work for you..
don't strain your eyes either, rest them often.
eyes are so important and we take them for granted to much.

I used to get styes in my eyes all of the time as a kid. The docs would always recommend putting a warm wash cloth on the eye to help ease the pain - but with pink eye, I was told by my son's doc that nothing but eye drops or ointment will help. My son had a really bad case of this in both eyes last year. The eye drops didn't clear things up the first time, we had to go back for a second round. :(

I hope that one of these eye drops will work for you and that you are feeling better soon. I have a sinus infection right now and I can feel it in my eyes, too. Are they treating you with any other type of antibiotic? My allergist also prescribes an allergy med, plus a nasal spray that works well.
