Update

HI everyone ,
i hope you are all doing well today I have just come back from a specialist appointment that my doctor managed to arrange at the hospital instead of waiting until sometime in November. Anyway , after talking to this doctor , and him giving me a umm rectal exam ( sorry it was gross LOL) he has decided that i do infact have IBS but i might also have Celiac <sp> disease and he is requesting me to go for a Barium Follow through.... I get to go and drink some more Barium next wednesday at 8:30am so i will have to wait and let you know the test results of that .
Also i was put on a new med called Pantoloc for the acid in my stomach it is really helping too
So thats the updated news on me ..... How is everyone else doing? Stitcher45 how are you doing ??
Please post and let us know how everything is going with each of you
~HUG~

Crafty mom so glad your doctor was able to get you in earlier than Nov. Sorry you are having to go through those ucky tests. I always feel so used or exposed when I have them. Not a fun way to spend the day

I am doing a little better as long as I take imodium every day. I have had trouble the last couple days with my bowels moving without notice - every time I would pass gas. It is so embrassing. I think I will look into those Possy psds that they have for bladder problems. I need something to protect me against accidents. Does anyone else use something? If so what?

3 years ago I went through a pain clinic where I learned a lot of relaxation methods and how to exercise the right way so that I don't irratate my pain. I do use the stress managment mothods and also the relaxation exercises. They help with other problems but I have not found that they help with my IBS

One thing that upset me and my stomach this week was having to put my dearlittle kitten to sleep. She was so presious but was born with a severe birth defect of her chest (heart and lungs as well as esphogus) She lived almost a year which was much longer than the vet thought she would live. I truely enjoyed her every minute she lived with us. I feel blessed that God choose me to care for her.

May your day be bright and suny.

I'm hoping the fact that no one's been on this thread in a while means that all is well!

Hi all!

Sorry I haven't been in here for a while. Things around here have been an even bigger adventure than it was before. We have been to court for our grd and she is now in the states custody. It was so very hard to sign those papers. They are hoping to get her into a facility in the next couple weeks but it looks like she will not end up very close to home. We had thought after what the judge said that she would be right here in town but I guess they are so full they don't see an opening for several months.

It is time for school to start and grd #2 is getting excited and every day she thinks of something else that she needs before school starts. She has become a whinner and it is driving me crazy. I try to be patient with her because I know that it is partly a reaction to what is happening with her sister. And partly to her parents divorcing and her dad moving in with another woman already. I'm having a hard time dealing with visitation schedules, it always upsets things here for the next 2 or 3 days.

Then on top of that the girl that we had allowed to move in with us when her boy friend beat her up and put her in the er, up and went back to him after almost 2 months. She can't understand why we are upset and told her she couldn't come back here. I packed up her things and set them out side - when she came home later that night she picked the stuff up and left. I haven't heard from her since then but I am concerned about what she might try to do - she is a rough girl with a questionable history. She has many friends who are not people I would trust in the day light let alone a dark alley.

Those are the top three stressors and there are so many others. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed right now. You can imagine what this has done to my IBS and my fibro. Tonight I am trying to relax a little hoping that will help me sleep tonight cause I haven't slept more than 2 hours a day since Thurs.

Craftymom thank you for your concern. I have been dropping in but posting very little. Hopfully I will get things back on keal here real soon. I miss my time on here. One thing about our friend leaving - it is one less person trying to use the computer. lol hehehe:p

Hi Sandy! Wow, when I think I've got alot going on in my life I always seem to be able to find someone else who's got even more going on!

Did you post anywhere what's going on with grd 1? It seems to me I read something somewhere but can't remember where.

There's so much to think about with your post that I'm not sure how to start replying. Will think about it and check back in tomorrow.
