Of course we do the trick-or-treating. Wouldn't be Halloween without it.

This is the first year we are going to a kids halloween party.

The school my 13 y.o. dd went to in elementary always had a fun festival at Halloween. There were games, no costumes, but it even included a hayride! I really miss that school!

When I was young, I always said I wanted to be someone...I guess I should have been more specific!

Our community has a Halloween Parade every year. With 4 kids I have been walking in it forever!!! My dd #1 walks in it every year because she is a cheerleader on the high school varsity team. They walk with the band. So I will be walking on the side lines with the coaches to help out.

Maybe this will be the last year I have to walk in it.
Have a wonderful day.

My kids are now grown and too old for Trick or Treating, but we did go T or T when they were younger.
We still go to the Community Fall Festival each year and help out too. I usually am in charge of Pumpkin painting for the kids.

I hand out candy to the kids trick or treating. I love to see all the cute costumes. We also have several fall festivals, usually apple or pumpkin related.

Happy face

When we were kids we went Trick or Treating. My kids did the same thing. They are grown & are now taking their kids out.

We don't attend any festivals now. DH has a get together for the employees at work. I'm not sure if they will dress up this yr or not. They did last yr & he won 1st prize for the ugliest! I'm working on a costume just in case he needs one for this year.

When my kids were young . . . with society being the way it is . . . our church did a Trunk-O-Treat. Where members would decorate their vehicles and park in the church parking lot to hand out candy. Church members, hopefully, are safe. ~ Since my children are adults . . . we hand out candy, though . . . there's not too many kids in our neighborhood.

Growing up, we always went Trick or Treating in the neighborhood. My DD and DS will also, although DD is off to college.

Costumes are always appropriate, nothing evil, blood or scarey.

We go to a Trunk n Treat at church, most times. My kids would rather go to the church event than walking around the neighborhood, cause they come home with more candy.

We just do trick-or-treating, and as Bernice said, our costumes are "nothing evil, bloody or scary." I will also add "nothing slutty" to that list as I have a daughter. Costumes for girls older than 8 are hard to find in the "not slutty" category

DD is talking about how she wants to host a Halloween party this year. That's still in the Negotiation Stages.

DH loves to take the kids trick-or-treating although last year Big DS got together with friends who live in a neighboring town and they went to the downtown for trick-or-treat. I enjoy staying home and seeing all the costumes! We usually get between 75-90 kids here each year.

I always went trick or treating, but in my decade it was called "shelling out". My five kids used to love to dress up for school parades and Halloween night. They are grown now, and their children love it too. I voted that we did trick or treting, but alas no one comes into our neighbourhood, we found that out the first year we lived here, and had lots of candy left to chomp on for the remainder of the year, ha, ha,!
