chuckle Adorable Scarecrow Cookies

These are just so cute!

What you'll need: 2 bags COOKIES&[TM] SNICKERS® Brand FUN SIZE® Bars, unwrapped
1 bag TWIX® Brand Caramel Cookie FUN SIZE® Bars, unwrapped
1 bag M&M'S® Brand Peanut Butter Chocolate Candies for Halloween or M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for Halloween
1 bag SNICKERS® Brand FUN SIZE® Bars, unwrapped and chopped
1 18.25-oz. box yellow cake mix
1 16-oz. can vanilla frosting
6 shredded wheat biscuits
1 tube brown decorator's icing
24 paper cupcake liners
2 regular size cupcake pans

What to do:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line the cupcake pans with the paper cupcake liners.
Prepare yellow cake mix according to the package instructions.
Fold the chopped SNICKERS® Brand FUN SIZE® Bars into the batter before transferring it to the cupcake pans. Bake for 18-21 minutes. Remove from oven, transfer to a wire rack, and let cool completely.
Tint the vanilla frosting beige by blending it with a tablespoon of brown decorator's icing. Spread the beige frosting on top of a cupcake.
To decorate the cupcakes, use the photograph as a guide:

Hats: Place a COOKIES&[TM] SNICKERS® Brand FUN SIZE® Bar at the top of each cupcake, and top with TWIX® Brand Caramel Cookie FUN SIZE® Bars to resemble the rim on the hat.
Hair & Neck: Arrange strands of shredded wheat under the hat and around the neck.
Face: Use M&M'S® Brand Peanut Chocolate Candies for Halloween for the eyes and nose. Create the mouth with the remaining brown decorator's frosting.

Tip: Consider using cut licorice laces, snipped STARBURST® Fruit Chews or shredded coconut instead of shredded wheat biscuits for the "hair".
Makes 24 cupcakes.

Love your tube scarecrow!! What a cute project to do with the kids on a weekend afternoon!

I had forgotten about those cookies. They are still really cute to me.

I wonder if these would be accepted at my DS's school since they do not celebrate Halloween there but instead celebrate with a Fall Festival?

I really don't see why not. The scarecrow is a symbol of Fall, it's only associated with Halloween because of that time of year

I agree with Amanda it should be fine. A scarecrow is used to protect our food from birds that want to eat the crop so it could be seen as a good guy that helps by protecting the harvest. And if people aren't sure they like the scarecrow idea, maybe it helps to somehow connect it to the Wizard of Oz scarecrow and his courageous journey from fear to freedom. Unless, of course they don't like the film. Then I'm out of ideas
If the kids are going to make the cookies, though, they can just make any face they like. Maybe a self portrait? Keep us posted on what happens.
