I couldn't agree more! This look of long, straight, greasy-looking hair ( for guys and gals) just doesn't look good no matter what!

After reading all of this, I am so ashamed that I have let my hair go for such a long time now. I have put it time and time again. I am going to take care of this now. I will be 38 on the 26th and will be getting my hair cut back to shoulder length. I know that it looks awful now so I'm taking a dose of my own medicine!!!

Tami, what a nice birthday gift for yourself--a new hairdo!

I'm still trying to get mine long enough so there can BE a hairdo but I know I'm getting close. Last summer was hellish as the layers were JUST starting to grow out, and I wanted to cut it all off again SO BAD.

Whatever your age or length of hair, it always looks better when it is well-kept and neatly styled.

How do I post a photo of myself? I'm serious... I see some of you have a picture and I would like to post mine and get feedback from you ladies as to whether you think my hair length suits my age.

I agree. Hair length is a matter of personal preference. Some people look good in long hair while others look better in short. I've always kept mine a medium length.

kasparcat, if you go to your USER CP (box on the right side of the screen) and then look in the menu on the left under the words CONTROL PANEL you will see EDIT PROFILE PICTURE. Click on that, and it will bring up a box where you can upload a pic.

If you need more help, check our HOW DO I? forum or PM any moderator.

If your hair is always damp because of hot flashes then give in and cut it, until the hot flashes are over.

I'm 57 and love the compliments that I get on my long, (almost completely) grey hair.

If long hair looks good on you, and you love it, then keep it!

Love & Prayers,
May God give you for every storm, a rainbow, for every tear, a smile, for every care, a promise, and blessing in each trial, for every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh, a sweet song, and an answer for each prayer.

I'm a Hairdresser and I think if you have good hair wear it shoulder length. Short hair does not make you look younger. Too many ladies that I meet look more like men . I'm sixty and wear my hair shoulder length and it looks great. Patricia Ann.

My hair is generally short my choosing and has nothing really to do with my age which is 69 till Oct. But right now it is to the bottom of my ears on the sides and a bit longer in back.

Barbszy I thought your hair looked very nice when we were together this past Sept. In MY opinion I think you would look great regarless of how short or long it was. Just so YOU are happy with it all
I will take what I am served knowing someone out there is being served MUCH less

If it is well kept and what you like then go long. I'm 48 with real thick hair ,I've always been told I look better with short hair so I tend to keep it short.

I want short hair so bad! but my shoulders are huge and already people think I am a guy from the back. So I compromise with a shoulder length.
