Jacki , I love to cook so often buy fancy items for a new recipe. I am trying to use up what I have but then see a great price on something and end up buying it.

Your welcome Jacki, I know I always did better when I had to post what I bought LOL. I also liked tracking what my coupon savings were as well. The excel spreadsheet will be great for me as I can track not only how much I spend & save but where I'm doing it at.

I want to join in, too! It is just 2 of us in our family.

My monthly budget is 460 for food, cleaning supplies and toiletries.
380 for food....35 for cleaning supplies and 45 for my toiletries. We do the envelope system so once the money is gone its gone.

Groceries are so expensive here. Ten dollars can't even buy milk, bread and cereal! As for the groceries 380 is plenty for the two of us. I like to try new recipies. I aslo use coupons the best I can. We dont have double coupons here and that would make a HUGE differrence if we did!!

I would like to jump in here though and share my good deals too, when I find them!!

hugs, train

Train Welcome! I find knowing I'm going to write it down here makes me think twice.

Thanks Cau!

I did a pantry inventory yesterday which helped a LOT in planning my menu today!!!! With just two of us, I don't cook every single night. I do enjoy trying new recipes but usually one meal is enought for another meal of leftovers the next day. Mark comes home for lunch so the leftovers definitely help!!

Remember cooking in these?

I do need to reorganize my cupboards so all like items are together. I have started writing the expiration date in marker on the front of everything so it makes it easier when I buy something that has a quicker date then what I already have to place it properly.
