February budget will be $500. Dd #1 shouldn't be home at all this month. So it will just be the 3 of us. Hopefully I can stay under budget.

Redners $145.97 for 69 items and saved $7.00 with coupons

$354.03 left to spend

I do need to go to Walmart and get my paper and cleaning products. So it will come in close for the budget again this month.

Well I don't know what I was thinking saying only $50 for Feb but I did qualify it for milk and fresh fruits & veggies so most of what we have run out of isnt in those catagories. I've spent $155.64 so far this month but I think that should be about it.

The freezer is getting better but we will be eating out of it for a few more weeks to make sure all the old is out of there. So March's bill will be lower than normal but will make up for it in April when I start restocking the freezer. We've been eaten up older canned & boxed food as well most of which I've decided to not restock as it has to much sodium and cholestrol in them.

Cau, I buy 2 or 3 of an item when they are on sale and I have coupons (or as many as I can get with the coupons I have). I am not brand loyal except for my toothpaste but I still buy several at a time when on sale and I have coupons so I'm good until the next round of coupons are out to match with sales.

Making use of the Angel Food Ministries food purchases has helped me lower the food cost as well. I have a store card for every store in the area so I get their specials if I'm there. I sign up on the store websites to add any coupons to the store card which then allows you to also use a manufacture coupon and get on their birthday mailing list for freebies.

The kids eat breakfast & lunch at school and DH takes a sandwich from home so our weekday expenses are pretty low. I bought a pre-cooked boneless ham for $2.19 and had them slice it in 1/8" slices for sandwiches and froze in packagess for 3 sandwiches and bought a turkey breast for $1.79 and cooked then sliced for sandwiches as well. I eat leftovers for lunch most days during the week.

If I included the kids breakfast/lunch, DH or my occational lunch out and the 3-4 dinners out a month our total food & grocery bill would be closer to $500 then the $250-300 that I spend at the grocery for food, paper & cleaning products, personal care and dog food.

My March Budget will be $500 again. I told my dh last week about me having a budget for shopping. He had no idea. Now he is taking on the challenge with me. This might drive me crazy. I'm not sure if this was a good thing or not. LOL!!

Will go grocery shopping later this week.
