I am going to try to eat from my fridge and pantry. I had so much food expire in my pantry. I need to not stock up with so many things.

Thats a good idea Melly. I did that in November/December to help clean out the deep freezer and was able to cut $100 from my food budget in December.

Goal 400.00
Total to date-429.14
Over by-29.14
Store and coupon savings-67.80

I guess I knew my goal was unrealistic but maybe next month I will be able to set one I can at least come close to.

Jeandeanette, why not skip the goal for a month and just track what you spend? Then, the next month, try to beat the month before.

January Goal will be $600.

Walmart $132.45
coupons savings $6.30

Left to spend $99.61

Not doing to bad this month. I am going to consider lowering my shopping goal for next month. I started shopping at our SuperWalmart for everything this month. Things are for the most part cheaper there. My new goal I think for February will be to start shopping at the different local stores with my coupons and the sale items. I have the superwalmart, redners, weis, cvs and rite-aid with in 5 miles of my house. I get all the sales either mailed to me or in the newspaper that we get delivered every day.

My January goal was $750 because I was doing some heavy-duty pantry stocking this month. I wound up spending $671.82. My coupon & store sale savings totaled $351.85, so for under $700 I got over $1000 worth of food. I'm pretty happy with that.

Next month will be lower budget as the pantry and freezer are pretty full!
