It depends on the food I do use Norr bagged flavored noodles/rice and add meat & veggies to them to make a one pan meal. I don't pay over $.50 per bag with sales and coupons and keep several on hand to a quick meal.

We don't like a lot of the frozen meals so I make my own and freeze them for days its to busy to cook or I'm not feeling well.

I use Italian salad dressing to marinate chicken.

I buy pork loins & ham on sale for $1.99 and have the meat department sliced into 1" slices and freeze in meal packs. The ham can be cooked as steaks or chopped up for soup. Basically I will buy meat on sale and get enough for 4-6 meals.

I saved $44.24 in coupons and store sales last week. Roberta puts me to shame!

I would pour a cup out before freezing, that is what I do with milk. Right now I have 3 gallons of milk in the freezer because they were free with purchases and I didn't have room in the refrigerator nor would we have drank them all before going bad.

Of course I only have the room for 3 gallons of milk because I'm working on eating up the freezer to restock for the winter.
