For July I was under my budget by $59.40.

I will stick to the $500.00 for August.

I am feeding 4 adults(2teenage girls) 1 dog and 1 cat.

Today I went to Walmart and Redners

Walmart $40.69 saved $4.50 in coupons
Redners $184.60 for 70 items saved $14.03 in coupons and $19.68 in pick 5.

The pick 5 for $19.99 Redners runs every week. This week it was meat. Starting Sunday it is seafood. I got 1 pack of chicken wings, 2 packs of boneless pork chops and 2 packs of boneless steaks all for $19.99 not a bad deal.

Left to spend $274.71 saved $38.21.

July was a disaster, I did find some great meat deals and did stock up, like 4 whole eye of the rounds for $1.99 a pound and 5 lbs of breasts for $8.99 a bag. So For August Iím tightening my belt. I have to tally my receipts and set my limit . Will be back with that

Cau, if some of the meat will be used in August you can always deduct that from the August budget even though you bought in July. I've done that when I've caught some great sales bought for the next month and then just lower the next months budget so it all averages out over the months.

Set my food budget for $80 a week or $320 a month. There are times I have been under and that money goes into savings. To use for special family outings or vacation. Right now it is for outings, as we can't afford a vacation.

We are a family of 4, and 3 cats. My grocery budget includes anything we use in the home.

My husband does Costco at least once a month and blows around $500. We mostly buy meat and in bulk. I break it down and use it thru the month.

We use the market as a bumper for F & V and dairy. Its usually about $200. We have a garage fridge and there is always X gallons of milk out there. On Monday, we had 4 of them and I told my Mom, DRINK UP! LOL! (If I didnt have 12 ducks out back, I would get a blasted cow! This is crazy!)

I asked this when I first started FC - where are coupons for REAL food??? I dont need coupons for pop tarts and ding dongs, and things we dont eat. The Sunday papers have crummy coupons. Any tips on coupons for real adult food would be super!

Somehow I lost track this month but I have been stocking up on meats so it will be high.
I also have a family reunion here next week so that will be extra. I hope to get back to normal net month

J your right a bout coupons I don't have no luck saving much with them. I cook mostly from stapes. Foodlion does give a coupon for milk you collect so many you get 1 free. But I don't find many I can use.
I spend as little I can. I'm going to try to cut sept. to $60. a week
For this weep I have a check from costco so I use it.
