I spent more yesterday than some of you do in a month. Payday before last I just didn't have the money to buy much of anything. I tried to use up what we had and I was low or out of nearly everything we eat.

My goal-500.00
Total to date-350.56
Left to spend-149.44
Coupons and store savings-23.99

This is for a family mostly of 3. My ods does come in sometimes but not often. This includes all groceries, health and beauty aides, otc medicines, canned dog food, small school supplies(like paper, pencils etc). It includes all washing powders and cleaning supplies. It does not include eating out, clothing or dh and ds hunting supplies. In fact dh spent 78.00 dollars yesterday for a hunting license for himself and ds. I have always said even when they are lucky enough to get a deer or turkey its certainly not free. I am hoping they both can put a deer in the freezer like last year. I have one more pack of deer meat left so its time to refill the freezer. Good luck to each of you on your food bill. I noticed tuna had jumped to 98cents and some a dollar a can for the name brand. Its really crazy how much they are raising everything. Even save-a-lot prices aren't that great now.

Yes, the tuna has definitely gone up. I got some today (my kids like tuna for their lunches) and it was 89 cents a can for the chunk light (which I prefer anyway). I can't get the cans in Sam's anymore either, unless I buy the 10-lb one and that is TOO much tuna. (OK, maybe not 10-lb, but you know what I mean )

Spent today: $67.32

Remaining: 378.01

Budget $600

Spent $172.70(59 items)
Coupons Savings $4.60

Left to spend $427.30

I will still need to pick up a few things for the b-day party. I will wait to see how the weather will be before I shop to much. I think we might change the game plan to a pizza party and game night instead of an outside party.

Good Lord. Not doing so well, BUT I'm hoping I have enough in this house that I won't really need to buy tons of stuff in the coming weeks. UGH

previous balance $570.25

Spent over the last week $351.57

That included pet food, cat litter and and 3 bags of softener salt. I think I even had a few school supplies thrown in there. I've been planning my menus and that's helping, trying to figure out what it is that I keep running out of. LOL

Balance of budget $218.68

Sheesh
