Roberta and Kathy, you are both doing so good. Half way through the month and you are both half way through your budgets, right on track. I only allowed $250.00 this month since I had so much still in the freezer and cupboards. I just cannot pass up a good deal though so bought some meat this past week for the freezer because it was on sale, I have spent $152.03 so far of my budget, I better be careful or I will go over, don't want that.

Went grocery shopping last Saturday and spent $114.62. Save $9.65 on coupons.

Goal $600.00
Spent so far $306.63
Total left to spend $293.37

I am going today to the farmers market and picking up some veggies. Kind of afraid to get tomatoes. I think we might stick to can for awhile.

Navymom here in PA we don't pay tax on food or clothing. Specialty foods and seasonal clothing are tax. Our state tax is 6%. I know Delaware has no state tax. So it just depends on were you live with the tax. When we were in the military that was one of the first things I looked at when we moved to a different state. Tax amounts can really add up when you are shopping.

Have a great week shopping and look for those bargains!!!!
