Hi I am new to this group. I am married, we are retired Navy. Just moved into a new house and spending money like a "drunken sailor". We just combined two households, my daughter and grandaughter (17) share our new home. I have spent well over $700 this month. I feed three adults and a teenager. On Sundays I have my two sons and daughter-in-law over for dinner. I keep a very well stocked pantry and freezer. I shop twice a month for my main groceries at the military commissary. I "quick shop" at Wal-Mart or Kroger for items I don't have or for eggs, milk and fresh veggies. The produce man down the street just opened for the season so I will shop there also. I could live off of my pantry and freezer for a month and a half if I had to. I need to really cut down on the spending. Hope this group can help me! Thanks.

Navy wife, welcome to this forum. I need to tally up a bunch of receipts and get back on here with my amounts spent this month. The majority of the spending I have done lately is for dh and ds upcoming camping trip. What do you include in your grocery budget? Do you include health and beauty products, cleaning products, eating out etc? Its getting so very hard not to spend a fortune on food with the prices going up constantly. Its hard not to worry about it. Anyway, I am glad you are here and look forward to your posts. Hope we all can encourage and help one another.

I would appreciate any coupons that are sent to me, but my commissary does not take expired coupons. I need to join a coupon club or find ways to get coupons. [edited by moderator.
