Went to WM yesterday and spent $100.00. Was quite surprised as my cart was much emptier than usual - no health & beauty, no cleaning supplies and only 2 lbs. of ground turkey, no other meat. I did notice once again that prices had gone up on several items.

Goal for April: $550.00
Spent so far: $100.00
Balance: $450.00

FLFunMom, that reminded me I am so upset with the price of pop. Our local grocery raised the 2lt to 1.25 then they raised it to 1.39 and just the other day a 2lt is 1.50. That is so crazy. I just wonder are these price increases ever going to stop because it doesn't seem like it.

jeandeanette, it's insane isn't it!
I collect the coke caps & have rec'd coupons be redeeming points for free 12 packs & single serve bottles.
I won't buy soda unless it's on incredible sale. I usually make tea but sometimes i just need a good dose of Coca Cola!

Jeandeanette,
I agree about the cost of pop. The regular price for 2 liters at our local store was $1.35, then $1.59 and now $1.79. DH and I are both big pop drinkers, although we have a mixed marriage (he drinks Pepsi One and I drink Diet Coke). I really watch the ads and try to buy several when the price is close to $1, but that's getting harder to find.

So.. out of this months paycheck I've spent..

Safeway the other day.. $48
Safeway today .............$245

total so far $293

And the majority of what we need is in the house. Just weekly trips for fresh stuff, bread and milk. Plus possibly a trip to Costco since we have the money to do it right now.
Add $10 to this, so new total $303

I have to brag a little. I went to the store on Wednesday and I saved $94 dollars between coupons and store discounts. I ended up spending $148 total. So I have $252 left.
