I will budget $350.00 again this month, that seemed about right last month. I've already spent $210.00 in the first week but everything is completely stocked up, freezer, cupboards, etc. so I can go most of the month with just some fresh vegies, milk, etc. to fill in. My oldest daughter shops for a whole month (family of 4, 2 small children) and says she only spends about $20 a week at the local store for extra milk, etc. I'll have to ask her if she keeps track of how much she spends on her big shopping trip. I think they are going this weekend as my son in law commented yesterday morning on how full my frig was when he was putting my granddaughters milk in there and how empty their frig was. They drive the hour to the city to shop at the cheaper stores like I do sometimes.

I went grocery shopping last night and spent $105.00. I thought this was a lot since I didn't get nearly as much as I usually do. I noticed that prices were quite a bit more than last week. I only bought one gallon of milk this week. I've been filling in with more powdered milk. I just have to do it on the sly or no one will drink it. They've been drinking it for about a week now with no complaints!

Goal for March: $500.00
Spent: $255.00
Balance: $245.00

It looks like I may make it. Of course, I haven't bought anything for Easter yet!

Kathy
