As far as I know, we don't have anywhere that you pay a membership to shop, so it will be new for us. We also don't have a lot of coupons like it seems you do in the States. It will be interesting to see what other changes come in as well.

Meg, if you have over the counter drugs Sam's Club can really save you. The alery pills I take are $22.95 for 60 pills at Sam's but the cheapest is $9.95 for 20 pills other places. I take 120 pills a month so it adds up

Well I did my Aldi's run and spent $118.15, that included a new can opener. But I needed the food so what can you do. I am up to $299.61

A mini shop this week: $40-99
Total spend this month: $404-50
Remaining in goal amount: $195-50
I think we might almost make it this month! I haven't bought fruit and veg from the co-op. I am paying a bit more for my fruit and veg, but only buying what I need every couple of days. It seems to be cheaper in the long run at the moment. That will change in summer, so I will go back to it then I think.

Well, I did a bread run and then a milk run add that to my food coop and I am up to$394.09. I still have a week and a half to go but am holding up well. In Nov. my dd#3 is having a back operation and will be with us for a while.

Spent $88.20 at the commissary and 18,27 Euro ($26.99) at the Edeka.

Left for Oct. $154.02 - gotta throw my 2 cents worth in LOL

Actually with DH leaving in 5 days, I don't know if we will be doing any more grocery shopping for Oct. That would be great if I came in $150 under budget. Especially since after school orders are done he doesn't have a job. The reserves say they don't have anymore funding, and we don't have an official offer from any GS or contractor to go to work.

Bought a couple more things today. $17-56
Monthly spend $422-06
Left in budget $177-94
It is looking almost possible! Although I think we need a proper shop as the last one was mini! Might need about $150-00 by the end of the month.

Here are my updates for the past week:

Goal for October: under $450.00
Previous balance remaining: $214.39
10/17 Weis $19.03
10/20 Giant $21.94
Balance remaining for the month: $173.42

I'll be heading to Giant later today because I'm nearly out of Diet Coke (horrors!) and they have a really good sale.

Liz
