I need to update my totals for the month:

Goal for October: under $450.00
Spent so far: $143.38
10/15/07 Weis $26.75
10/15/07 Wegman's $34.30
10/16/07 Weis $21.18

Balance remaining for the month: $214.39

One good thing: I was able to redeem my accumulated points at Weis for a promotion they were running and received a very nice covered casserole and mixing bowl free! Now they've started another incentive program that each dollar you spend counts as a point and each point range will give you a one-time opportunity at a percentage off your purchase.

Just heard last night on the TV that Costco is coming to Australia. Is this a good place to shop and is it as cheap as it sounds? I don't know when the first one will open or if it will be close enough to shop at.

Meg, I joined Costco this year and I have to say, I like Sam's Club better. When my membership expires I'll be back at Sam's. I think Sam's has a bigger selection of items that I use. Prices are about the same. Neither of them takes manufacturer coupons and the inventory is not "static" so just because you got an item there the last 7 times you shopped doesn't mean you'll get it the next time or ever again.
