I don't do all my groceries at the one store, so I was thinking this month I would keep closer tabs on what I spend, as it goes in dribs and drabs as I need it esp fruit and veg.

I want to spend or use a budget of $140 per week or $560 per (4 week) month.
Meat I buy in bulk that is harder to put a weekly figure on spending, if anyone has an idea there I'd love to hear it.

Perhaps you could keep a list for a couple of weeks, writing down what meat you use each day, and the cost of it (you may have to weight it and figure out the #lbs originally bought and how much it was per pound). Average it out and that may give you a fairly accurate amount for your daily/weekly $$ spent on meat items. Hope that works for you.

Kathy, I recommend that in the month when you buy your meat in bulk, just add to your budget for that month.

So far this week it's
$14 Aldis milk and veg.
Will grocery shop tomorrow.

$28 ds1 guitar lesson
$10 graduation party money for ds1 high school in Nov.
$68 petrol for the car, should last 1 1/2 - 2 weeks

It's not fair that we don't have the coupon thing happening for food here.
