Barb, thanks for the note on the produce. I have noticed that Wegman's has nicer produce, but I don't get there often as it is farther away. I did make a stop there last week when I had other errands in the area (I think it was Thursday) and I was very surprised at how little produce they had. I must have just hit a low time -- no bean sprouts and partly-empty bins on many other items. Maybe their produce delivery got delayed or something.

September goal: under $450.00

9/2/07 Walmart $20.44
9/5/07 Weis $43.43 (saved $19.09)

Balance available: $386.13

Good price on Folger's coffee this week, two 39 oz. containers for $11. DH's Pepsi One 12 packs (he takes to work so he doesn't buy from the machine) were just $2.20 each, so I bought 2.

$30-00 for fruit and veg today, plus there will be a quick trip to the supermarket for weekly's (like milk and bread). I'll update later.
$227-42 spent so far.

Well, I spent $105.00 yesterday, stocking up for the rest of the month. With what I already had, I'll be fine until the middle of next month when I get paid again (every 3 months). I'm off school for the next 2 weeks on break, so will be doing quite a bit of cooking ahead and freezing for quick dinners once I'm back in class. It's just me living in my home, but 2 of my grandchildren are with me every other week.

September goal: under $450

9/5/07 Walmart $15.34
9/7/07 Weis $52.33

Balance remaining for the month: $318.46

Weis has a 20% off all fresh meat sale going on, so I bought pork chops, pork steaks, chuck steak, cube steak and hot Italian sausage for the freezer. I also bought a small fresh turkey breast that I'll bake tomorrow or Sunday. Savings: $8.33.
