ticks

we have a hugh problem with ticks on our dog (angie)and in our yard. We have dipped her, sprayed our yard twice. Cleaned her dog house. tried frontline, we even tried tried cow tick tags. these are strong enough for a 2,000 lb. cow. but, nothing seems to kill these nasty blood suckers.
our angie is at the vets now. she is anemic and can barely stand.
the bill is outragious! but,she is our little girl and worth every penny.
Does anyone have any suggestions to get rid of these pests?

Hi! I know I am late... and I certainly hope that your dog survived the attact.

I am an organic gardener. If you will go to www.dirtdoctor.com Howard Garrett has some wonderful cures for ticks and they work! You have to be dicerning - Howard is a great fellow but he sometimes takes things to the ridiculous! He will tell you NOT to vaccinate your dog -- IGNORE that - it is illegal!

However he does have some great ideas. Hope this helps for next year!
