Lightbulb Playtime

The day after Christmas 2000 my then 3-year-old was playing with his new train set, "Toots the Train." The set came with a farm, a tunnel, a train station and a loader. He had the cow and pig on top of the loader and I told him that they didn't belong on top of the loader because they might fall off and hurt themselves. His response in all seriousness, "Mama, they’re only toys."
God bless you,Marianne

Science Kid!

I sent my kids outside to play with the hose & sprinkler....Next thing I know they are all standing around the sandbox, putting a good bit of water in it. "Why are you making puddles in the sandbox?" DS/12 answered, "It's an erosion table!"

The other day, after dh was done mowing the lawn, he decided to take a shower. He told me he was "going to jump in the shower".

4 yo DD's eyes got huge, and a smirk across her face. She said "jump in the shower?, he can't do that he will break it!"

She has also let me know that the new puppy can't play with her toys, becuase hims don't have hands hims has paws!!

We were driving down the road and out of the blue, my 9 year old son said "I like having old parents...", well my husband and I are 47 and 50 respectively, so are OLDER than some of his friend's parents... but I said "why do you like having old parents?", his reply came quickly..."because you are smarter than the young ones and you can help me with my homework..." That's my BOY!!!!
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.
