blushing Through a Toddler's Eyes

My mother ran a senior citizen's activity group for our church and my brother often attended the meetings with her. One day after a meeting he came up to my mom and asked, "Mom why do these people take such long baths?" She asked him what he meant and he said, "because that's how they got their wrinkles". His four-year old mind only knew that he got wrinkles in his skin when he took a long bath!

blushing " Senior Citizens"

This past Christmas parade in our local town had a float, and on this float there were chairs (about 20 of them) sitting back to back. They were a group of elderly ladies, which I expect some were in their 80's...They were members of a civic club or past auxilary members to the local chamber of commerce. Anyway, as they were passing by the onlookers, my 8 yr. old son tapped me on my arm and said,"Mom, all of them are antiques- aren't they?...)!!!! Good gosh!! And to top it off there was an older couple standing to my side that heard every
word... I'm glad they were not offended!!!

Grandma's cracking

Wanted to add my story.

My 3 year old son was sitting on a bench swing with his grandma this summer. It was an extremely warm day. Grandma was wearing shorts, which only happens about once a year because she has varicous veins, therefore my little Triston was noticeing her legs for the first time. Triston says to Grandma, "OH MY GOSH...Grandma...Your legs are cracking!"
