Where does she get this stuff??

OMG, I am cracking up right now!

My DD has a babydoll that laughs, cries and says "MaMa". She is sitting here on our couch playing house with her. She squeezed the baby's hand to make it say "Mama" and I repeated it.

Well..lookout.... My DD whipped around and said in a stern voice to me "She ISN'T saying Mama, she is saying "Bapa". Then she went on mumbling and laughing to herself in this sarcastic way "Haha...she said that you are saying Mama when you are saying Bapa. hahahah..... (you have to hear the sarcastic tone---wonder where she gets that from? ).

I just about swallowed my tongue laughing so hard at the way she reacted. I tried explaining to her that he baby was calling her Mommy by saying Mama but she wanted no part of it!

I have a feeling that I am in for a llllloooonnnngggggg ride!!

Tammi, don't you just love it when young children not only use sarcasm, but they use it correctly!

She announced at the dinner table that she is not going to college, that instead, she is going to work building trucks like on the show "Trick My Truck"--she has only seen this show one time and they were tricking a truck to look like a school bus.

When my son told her that she couldn't do that job because she was a girl and that she would have to go to college, she looked him right in the eye and said " I SAID THAT I AM NOT GOING TO COLLEGE, THAT I AM GOING TO WORK ON THOSE TRUCKS. MOMMY SAID THAT I CAN BE ANYTHING THAT I WANT TO BE WHEN I GROW UP!!" (she was talking in a very loud, stern voice).

Funny thing is that I can see her doing this. She already has her Dad's mechanical abilities.

OIY.....what will she say next!

Kids - they sure do have us in fits of laughter, don't they?
I know our dgs (4 1/2) makes us laugh - he is soooo funny but in real innocence.
One of the funniest things I have been a part of was when I decided to let one of my Grade 5 students (11 yrs old) be me, and I was her. Well, talk about having a mirror!!! I laughed until I was nearly sick. She even had my little idiosyncrasies down pat!

What a hoot, I am laughing as I think of it and that was about 13 years ago.
