Fried Corn on the Cob Recipes

Orignally posted by me in July 2003 WFD

Deep Fried Corn on the Cob
From Broken Spokes MFG

Ears of corn, cleaned and ready to go. We use alot, but use as many as you want.
Soul Seasoning/or any seasoning you might want to try,
Butter or margarine.

Fill your deep fryer up with vegetable oil, peanut oil (adds a different taste to corn), or what ever. Heat the oil to 450 degrees. Drop corn cobs in and cook till you see them kernels turning brown (about 10 to 15 Min.), remove from deep fryer.
Put on a drainer, or just put on a plate with paper towels to absorb the oil. Now cover with butter while hot, a dash of salt, and the Soul Seasoning sprinkle on. Ready to serve........

From Recipe Goldmine

Oil for deep frying
3/4 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/3 cup flour
1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 egg
2 packages Green Giant Nibblers Frozen Corn-on-the-Cob, thawed
1 cup cornflake crumbs

In deep fat fryer or heavy saucepan, heat oil to 375 degrees F.
In medium bowl combine cornmeal, Parmesan cheese, flour, garlic salt, milk, oil, and egg; mix well. Dip ears into cornmeal batter to coat; roll in cornflake crumbs. Fry in hot oil 2 to 3 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.
Yields 12 servings.
