things to have on hand when holding a yardsale

things to have on hand when holding a yardsale

1. CHANGE. People/customer might be frustrated if you don't have change, for their big bills and decide not to buy anything.

2. BAGS. It's always a good idea to have several bags on hand when having a yard sale. You can either stock some plastic bags that you get from grocery stores or you can purchase some from the dollar store.

3. PRICE TAGS. This come in handy if some of the tags were removed or if you decide to lower the price of your items once you get to your yard sale.

4. A COMFY CHAIR. If you have a lot of customers, you may not get a chance to use the chair but if you don't get a lot of business, you might find yourself wanting to sit down. Your feet also get tired of you're not used to standing a lot.

5. DRINKS and SNACKS. This is important because you don't want to be dehydrated and starved. Also, If you want to make even more cash, bring along a large cooler and throw in some drinks to sell to customers.

6. SUNSCREEN. If you love your skin, then trust me and apply this before heading outdoors, also reapply sunscreen multiple times throughout the day. Remember that even if it's cloudy or cool outside, it's still possible to get a sunburn.

what are some things that feel are needed when having a yard sale?

Having a couple "not for sale" chairs in the shade is good as well for the shoppers who need to take a break or the people with them while they wait so they aren't hurrying the shopper from the sale.

have someone keep an eye on the house egresses so no one enters while you are helping a customer, ie: yard sale with assistance, not alone.

keep your dog away from the sale.

an extension cord so a potential buyer can see that the appliance does indeed power on.

Standard utilitarian safety pins! Great for tacking tags and prices to things... great for matching pairs with one another!
