When offering I try to work with them to pick up within a couple of days but do make exceptions in some cases like last week when a lady's 12-year-old locked her keys inside her van, so I gave her an extra day. Sometimes people will say they want something picked up that day and it doesn't get posted by the moderator until the next day, so that doesn't work.

I have gotten a couple of useful things this past year, once it was some wood pant/skirt hangers. It was a second pass through freecycle and some were broken but about half were still good and I'm using those. I also got some Avon boxes that are good for stacking things in the closets.

I use Freecycle regularly. Sometimes it is frustrating because people don't pick up as quickly as I want. The "stuff" didn't bother me that much until I decided I wanted it gone.

Hello IBD I think we all pretty much feel that way once we decide to part with it "get it gone now" lol
Good luck to all who use Freecycle whether trying to get something or parting with
I will take what I am served knowing someone out there is being served MUCH less

We have freecycle now called recycle, sales, trades and wants for different areas, and these ones are on FB. Then there are yard sales on FB.

our freecycle is not as popular as Craigs List but I did post some wanteds for home heating coal (and will try wood stumps also).

we will see on the response.

I thought it was a barter program but it absolutely is NOT, which is to my preference.
