Amanda, Thanks for the info and warning on craigslist. I did a search and found one in my area. Some of the things for sale seem kind of strange, like a 2005 car for only $1 ? I have to go run some Saturday errands now but will check it out further. It might be a good place to sell some things that I don't want to give away or sell for a dime at a yard sale.

We have Freecycle here. Infact I joined it. I got a carseat for my gs that was like brand new. (Not that I have used it yet.) Long story. I also got some clothes for his little sister that were like brand new.

Theresa did you do a search on their site to see if there's a yahoogroup that covers your area? There may not be one in your town, but look for your county name too. In my area I don't have one in my town, but there are several that I have joined because it's this county and a neighboring county.

You will sometimes see that if people are negotiable, or if they don't want you to know the price until you view the ad and see the picture. I will put $1 when I have several items for sale.

Thanks for the explanation. That's good to know.

I just found out about our freestuff site and have already used it. It is great that someone thought of it.

I love freecycle. It's a great way to get rid of something you don't need anymore & give it to someone who can use it. I have gotten rid of dishes, cups & saucers, coffee cups, sheets,an old spare tire, scrap metal & car speakers. Some of that stuff I had not used for 10-15 years, it was just sitting in my kitchen cupboards or garage. Now I have more room!! I even got a thank you card in the mail from the lady that took the car speakers for her son!! I have gotten a hand mixer that will come in handy to use as a spare when my daughter makes cakes & icing.

Freecycle is AWESOME! When we upgraded to elongated toilets we put all three currently four-year old toilets on Freecycle, and they were picked up immediately by three different familes.
