Re: reusing tinfoil, that's a go in our house!

Regarding thrift store donations, whatever I have planned at the time as to items I'm looking to donate, anything goes (is my rule), including clean used underwear.

I like to think that for every one of us who may not be open to the idea of used underwear, there are countless more who are.

You girls are right, there are some people who have no qualms regarding used underwear. It is just my hang-up. LOL! I also don't think I would buy a used bathing suit. I have bought bras used though.

I donate dd2's clean used underwear to the local elementary school and pants for those having accidents of all kinds at school and need to change their clothes.

I would not use the reuseable feminine cup, DivaCup.com and others as I would be concerned about not getting it clean enough.

use code TAKE10 for 10% off your first direct delivery order in 2019 with me!

Have never bought underwear or bras but have donated
both. Have no fuss about buying any other clothes there tho'
I reuse mayo etc jars for left overs or to store paper pks like
hot chocolate, or other
things that come in those little
paper backs that way they stay fresher and one thing not tossed
I will take what I am served knowing someone out there is being served MUCH less

Another I never did when my kids were babies, was tape-up their rubber pants when they would rip or tear. In the event of a ripped or torn pair of rubber pants, it was off with the old and on with the new!

When I read about holocaust prison camp children diving into the open septic mounds to avoid being hauled away for extermination I realized that I would likely not stop at anything for survival. If wearing someone else's underwear meant survival for me, I would do what I could to sterilize it (boil it if I could) and then not think about it. There is not much I won't do to be frugal, except perhaps outright shoplifting, that one, no.

But on any normal situation, wearing someone else's undies absolutely freaks me out, same with bathing suits and shoes and socks. There are so many skin diseases out there, it might not make me stronger, it might kill me (LOL).

When it comes to personal hygiene related things, I like my own, however, if push came to shove... I'd harvest no worries over wearing someone else's properly laundered under-panties.

Yep, at this moment in time, undies would not be a go! Now if SHTF, maybe with proper sterilization. Other clothes, I always buy 2nd hand.
Along with ELLEN - shoplift would be a no - no.

I reuse, re-thing, and re-purpose about everything I can. I even patch and mend undies, till I get the gumption to go spend money.
I NEVER miss a chance to p/u money - even if it's a penny. They make dollars!

I guess we just never know what we might do in desperate times.
