I agree with Barbszy on the 'ick" factor of reusable feminine products.

I also won't use a towel a second time. I know that most people think that I'm weird for this one but it grosses me out to think that "parts" have been dryed off and I'm using it again..even if you are clean. My son feels the same way. My dh and dd don't care.

No used undies here, either.

Love the comment about smelling the armpits of shirts. ROFL!!

I must live under a rock...I have NEVER heard of a re-useable fem product. WHAT IS IT??? Like the old style diapers that you launder???

You have to give used clothes the sniff test. Some smells dont come out, even with vinegar, or bleach.

Anyone seen the episode of Seinfeld and the smell in his car that could not be removed? That is what some fabrics can be like. To coin Barbszy's phrase, ICK!

I refuse to dumpster dive.
Just about everything else is compressible.
As for splitting to ply toilet sheets... no way that is why they are soft, I will just use less

I would not go into an actual dumpster. Gross! Here we have bulk trash day. Last year someone threw out a ficus tree. (how do you throw away a tree???) I went down at 10pm when it was good and dark and took it. I put it in a big clay pot and its thriving. Its been a year!

Bulk trash day can be fun! And the price is great! Hee hee!

And in LA, I can put ANYTHING out in front of the house and usually in 30 minutes or less, its gone. Amazing.

LOL Jodi I had never used that term either till I typed it here. It just struck me as a good name for picking up things people put out lol. So now we both have a new phrase.

Well it's perfect, and sounds much "girlier" than dumpster diving!!!

There should be some kind of award for coming up with a new phrase.

Good work! You are very witty!

Jodi... good idea, I was trying to think of a new award today... You said it!

Patti... "Curb Shopping" is awesome. I can just see the lines.
