Amazing how such a small amount can really start to add up!
Hey, does finding money from dh's pants pockets while doing laundry count? If so, I found 1.18 floating around in the dryer this morning.

Why not! Its free money to YOU! I was at the hairdressers last night and I could see a penny under the counter, on the floor, almost out of reach. I had to resist the urge to get it. I wonder if its still there? I haven't had much luck lately, but I'm 53 cents richer than before!

Hmm, maybe try places that teens frequent, like malls. I have sometimes seen them take change out of their pockets and just throw it out on the floor. Unbelievable! It must be some sort of fad or something.

Sadly, It's not just teens who do this. My DH says that there are some men that he works with who will have pennies and nickels "taking up space" in their pockets and will just throw them on the floor of their lunchroom! That's just sheer ignorance to me. He will pick them up for our jar--the pennies anyway--he keeps the silver for himself. Poor Guy, he jokes that I am so tight with the money that he has to resort to this to save money for a treat at work. ROFL!!!

With such a lack of respect for money (and I don't mean that in "the almighty buck" way, but in the way that the western world sometimes sickens me the way money is thrown around as if its meaningless, tell that to someone starving), its no wonder there are so many people in debt up to their eyeballs!

DH used to work in a factory cleaning when he was going back to school and he would find 20 or more pennies on the floor in the lunch room every day because it wasn't worth it to them to pick up.

Makes me wonder if these people use coupons. Money is money to me and I don't want to pay more than I have to for anything.

I used to see an old man walking around on trash day pulling out the pop cans from the recycle bins to cash in.

I have found 29.00 now. I opened a ING account and put in 22.00 so i will make interest at 3.15%.With ING you can only transfer $10.00 at a time so i am busy trying to make another $10.00.

Lucky me!

$0.10 found in the bottom of a bag of clothing, found at the grocery store, dumped in a broken buggy (see "What did you do frugal today").
Total $0.63
