chuckle Yard Sales!!!

Finally, The weather is nice enough today that the yard sales are starting to pop up again!!

We went to 4 today including a school sponsored sale.

I bought 11 pieces of clothing & 8 headbands for my DD and 3 name brand long sleeve, button-down shirts for DS ( for school next year) ......all for $11.00!

DS got 10 new books for $2.50 He loves Dr. Seus and anything written by Mercer Mayer so we found a 3 and added to his collection.

He also got a huge box of toys....cars, motorcycles, little men, plastic toys, balls, 3 big trucks, and a battery operated quad....all for $3.00

DH and I didnt get anything---but isnt that the way when you have kids???

Tami-

They are popping up like dandelions in our area too. I haven't been to one yet, have just so busy with chores but hopefully tommorow.

Have fun, I am so glad it's finally YARD SALE SEASON!

Memin and I have a blast yard saling together!
We treat it as "date" time and find great bargins too!
There were lots today but Memin went fishing and had the truck.
I will fill you in on any great buys!

great buys

Two weeks ago on Saturday we went driving around looking for yard sales. I found a Ralph Lauren doctor style bag for $5.00-one like it sold last week for $56.00 on ebay. I will be trying my hand at ebay soon-I also got four place settings of Churchill Blue Willow dishes for $8.00. I never saw a set of dishes I didn't like-I think I have six sets of dishes now-And we eat out at least four days aweek- I also got my grandson a bgi wheel to keep at my house for $2.00.

Sounds like you found some great buys. I love yard sale and garage sale season! Really good buy on the dishes... hope I'm as lucky as I desperately need new ones.

This weekend is the "opening weekend' for garage sales around here. I looked in the paper and there are at least 75 within 5 miles of my house. Just about every neighborhood on this side of town is having a neighborhood one. The weather is suppose to be cool around 55 with a slight chance of rain but, I think I will hit a few of them anyway.

Oh My!!! I would be in yard sale Heaven!!!

Its raining here tonight and more is on the way for the morning so its not looking promising for our sales.

Thats ok though because many sellers get frustrated and throw away their stuff so it makes for great curbside shopping afterwards......... ;-)

lol now you sound like me. There are 6 three story apt. buildings aprox. 2 blocks from me and my dd's boyfriend lives there.I always check out their cast-offs the night before garbage pick-up. The stuff they throw away is amazing.

I was surprised there were not many garage/yard sales going on around here. I hit one that ds and I walked to but it was a bust. Oh well maybe it will be better next weekend.
