One more thing that I feel that I have to mention.......

Janet and I both have posted links for a free sample of GREENIES cat and dog treats. I received my full size freebie for my kitty 2 months ago and he LOVED them.

There are now storied circulating around the Internet that the dog treats will turn into some kind of rubber/plastic substance (depending on the story that you read) in your dog's stomach when they are being digested. SNOPES.com is investigating these stories and have it listed as "undetermined" status. There are claims that dogs have died from eating them.

The makers of GREENIES deny all of it--saying that their treats are 85% digestable....more than MOST dry dog food. They do warn that you must be responsible and not feed the large size treats to dogs who will not properly their food or to dogs who have certain health conditions.

When I received my pack, I read the ingredients and found nothing wrong with them--although, I must admit that I wondered why my kitty loved them as much as he did. We only gave him one or two a day (they are small treats for cats). NOTHING bad happened to him.

The most shocking thing that I found was the price of them at PetsMart---almost $5.00 for a bag, compared to the $2.00 for most other treats!! Since my kitty got used to the noise when we shook the bag, I refilled that bag with a cheaper treat and he now eats those.

I cant find the $3.00 coupon without trying to sign up for the freebie again--but it says that I already signed up for it. If anyone can post a link for the coupon, I would really appreciate it!!

I think that the bottom line is that you have to be careful what you are feeding your pets at any time. If you feel that something is wrong, throw it away!!
