Freezing cooked turkey & stuffing

FREEZING COOKED TURKEY & STUFFING

Yesterday I roasted a whole turkey with stuffing in preparation for a party today. We had to cancel that party but I want to freeze the turkey & stuffing for the rescheduled event.

Right now I have the food in covered containers: white meat, dark meat, stuffing all separate. I cut all the meat off the bone.
I had planned to reheat it in the oven with a little chicken broth. Should I put it in freezer bags WITH the broth I plan to use, or do it another way?

Freezing turkey & stuffing

Hi,

You can freeze the meat and stuffing separately, as planned. But when you need the meat again, the defrost it, and make up the broth fresh.

Hope this helps.
