Freezing Eggs

I now have a steady source of free eggs each week. I also was given four dozen extra eggs. Can I freeze these? It seems I have read where that is possible but I don't remember the specifics. Thanks for your help.

I remember reading about freezing eggs also, but I cannot remember if it was the whole egg, only the white or only the yolk. But I do remember the article stating that you could individually freeze each egg in an ice-cube tray; then pop them out when frozen and place in freezer bag. If I run across that article I will re-post.

freezing eggs

I grew up on a farm and egg supplies varied according to the season and wether, etc. Mom would freeze eggs by first beating them thouroughly, then putting them in freezer boxes. The eggs must be beaten, else the yolk will thicken up and become ugly. The frozen eggs are fine for baking, or eating scrambled (duh, over easy is now out of the question). Since we had cornbread every day, this pretty well guaranteed our egg supply.
