Well, call me stupid....I did that bit of running and wound up with SHIN SPLINTS! ouch! It was pretty tolerable until I went to church this morning with my "mules" dress flats, and there I am with my guitar; I go to tap my foot to keep myself on the beat and I nearly yelled right out in the middle of the song!
I will have to be more careful the next few days.

Sign me up! I don't think I will be able to walk on the days/weekends I am at college but I can the other days! I manage to walk 3/4 a mile yesterday! I haven't been able to walk that far for over six years and I haven't felt good enough to try for thirteen years. I am very happy!!

Barbszy, Sorry that you ended up with shin splints. I hope they are better soon so you can join us.

DH told me the best thing to do is to walk them off (he used to run cross-country). But I will be cutting down the distance for sure! OUCH!

Hey! I have my first mile done! If our dog had her way I would have walked another mile.

I think I can I think I can. We'll be just like the little engine except I know we can! Keep going girls. We can do it. I did 2 miles yesterday. Lets see what today does. lol My son even asked if we were walking today. I do 1/4 mile in the morning with the dogs and then walked 3/4 mile last night and 3 days do the elliptical. I'd rather walk it isn't as tiring. I got in the car last night and drove around so that I could find out how far the route was. lol They both came out perfectly 1/4 and 3/4 mile. I couldn't believe it.

Lets go ladies. We can do it.
